As we approach our STAAR and other tests this testing season, we are reminded that attendance and punctuality to school are of great importance. However, absences and tardiness can affect your student’s testing performance. For this reason, we will use a different protocol for students who arrive late or are in the building but do not report to their 1st block class on time. Beginning tomorrow, students who fit this category of tardiness will be placed in the cafeteria at the 7:50 tardy bell,  where they will receive a letter about school attendance to bring home for a signature. They will then be accompanied to the office to call parents to discuss their tardiness. We want to ensure that all of our students are afforded the opportunity to do well on the upcoming tests. Being on time, having a good breakfast, and getting adequate sleep is the formula for success. We ask for your cooperation and consideration in this matter.
